1st October 2016

Driving rain seemed to be a theme for most teams this week

Men's 1s v Northampton Saints (away)

Seb reports "Mens 1s start of where they ended last season with another win and 3 points! A great team performance saw them win away to Northampton Saints 2-1, thanks to goals from Stevie Gibson and Aile Smith. 2-1 up at half time, the second half was a hard, entertaining battle and we were deserved winners".

Women's 1s vs North Staffs (home)

A hard earned 1-1 draw at home for our Women's 1s vs North Staffs, first point of the season!

Men's 2s vs Hampton (away)

Balf's reports "Mens 2nds had a strong start against Hampton in Arden with a 4-3 victory. Alp shaw with two goals and a great season's debut as keeper from new member Jack Silvester". John Kane adds "Warwick dominated local rivals Hampton and after conceding an early goal took a 4-1 lead. Indiscipline cost Warwick in the second half as they played with 10 for most of it, Hampton capitalised and made a close finish. 4-3 to Warwick. Boom!"

Women's 2s vs Atherton (home)

Battling 2s were just beaten 1-2 by Atherton 1s. Not quite sure why Widge got the 'dog of the day award', actually quite a cute cuddle toy to take home!

Men's 3s vs Burton (home)

Langers reports "Commanding 3s get the season off to a great start beating a very strong Burton side 4-2. A hat-trick from Bakes and the return of Emlyn after a 2 year break inspired the team. Great effort!"

Women's 3s vs Cov NW 1s (away)

Suffered a defeat at the hands of Coventry and North Warwick 1s, going down 3-6.

Men's 4s vs Redditch 3s (home friendly)

Nick reports "Men's 4s came out 2-1 winners in their final pre-season friendly against Redditch 3s getting the chance to enjoy the new Warwick astro prior to the visit of Barford Tigers next week".

Women's 4s vs Sutton Coldfield (away)

A tough away game for our Women's 4s losing to Sutton 0-4 away.

Men's 5s vs Leicester (away)

Claudio reports "Mens 5th team were well beaten by Leicester 4ths , after a decent first half and being level at 1-1 , 10 minutes of errors proved costly and spirited performance but always 2nd best"

Badgers vs Cov NW

The only draw of the day was a goal fest 5-5 draw for our Badgers away at Sutton Coldfield. Must have been a crowd pleaser!
