You can visit public pages on our site without giving us any information about yourself. However, the areas of the site reserved for members do need some information about you to provide services that you request, and this privacy statement explains data collection and use in those situations.

Collection of Members’ Personal Information

Warwick Hockey Club collects the following classes of personal information to help with the administration of the club and competitions available to its members:

  • Personal contact information.
  • Details of membership and match fees paid.
  • Details of games played, including goals scored, cards and Player Of The Match (POTM) awards for the fantasy league.
  • Details of socials attended for the fantasy league.

Warwick Hockey Club also requests two classes of information on a purely voluntary basis:

  • Basic demographic information (to help us ensure that our advertising and fundraising efforts are appropriately targeted).
  • Ethnicity and details of any disabilities (to enable us to monitor our support of Sport England's policies on equality and fairness in sport).

We hold and use this information solely for the purposes of club administration. We will not pass this information to anyone outside the club without your express permission, and we will delete your demographic and ethnicity/disability information if you leave the club.

All information is held in a secure, password-protected database. Your access to this information is controlled via a username and password (which is encrypted).

Access to your Personal Information

We will provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is correct and current.

Security of your Personal Information

Warwick Hockey Club is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide in computer servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities.

Use of Cookies

When you login to the site as a member, a number of cookies are placed on the machine you are using. If you do not accept cookies, you will only be able to access the non-password protected areas of the site.

Cookies are used by the site to remember who you logged in as to prevent you having to login each time you move to a protected page. The Cookies are stored for up to three weeks. You can remove the cookies by logging out of the site, or by clearing your browser's cached cookie information.

Warwick Hockey Club strongly recommends that you logout of the site each time you have finishing using it. If you do not, the next user of the computer may be able to access your personal information.
